Admission Procedure

Admissions for various courses take place in four quarters of the year depending on the availability of seats.{ Registration fees Rs.5,000 }

MEDICAL REQUIREMENT
Candidates are required to meet the medical standard as per the norms laid down by Director  General of Civil Aviation(DGCA), New Delhi. At the time of admission, student will have to undergo Class II Medical with the DGCA approved medical examiners. However, the candidates have to undergo a comprehensive class-I Medical Examination at different DGCA approved centres before the issuance of the Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

SELECTION PROCESS
A comprehensive selection procedure is followed for admission to ensure that only those
who have the aptitude and the ability are admited to the Academy. In case we find a candidate unfit for a particular course we monitor his caliber and aptitude so that he does not spend money and time on a course which may not be suitable for him.

WRITTEN TEST
This test forms an integral part of the selection procedure. There are certain mandatory test parameters like basic Maths, Physics, English and a paper consisting of 100 questions. The duration of the test is 90 mins. Successful applicants of the written composite paper are invited for the pilot aptitude test and Interview.

BOARD OF INTERVIEW
A final round of Interview is conduced for successful candidates. lnterviewers will also
consist of chief Ground instructors and Chief Flying Instructor who are from the field of aviation.

DGCA REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE(CPL)

  • For commercial Pilot License course, the candidate should have completed 18 years of age at the time of presenting application to the DGCA for the issue of CPL.
  • Educational Qualification - 10 + 2 or its equivalent examinations passed with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board / university.
  • Class-I Medical.
  • Writen examinations passed in Air Regulations, Air Navigation, Aviation Metrology, Technical General, Aircraft and Engine specific.
  • Flying experience of minimum 200 hours in the last five years preceding the date of application.
  • Flying Training in accordance with syllabus prescribed by DGCA.
  • Possession of Current Flight Radio Telephony Opertor's License (FRTOL).
  • RTR(A) licence from telecom department, Ministry of Communication.
  • Pass in Flying skill Tests.

DGCA REQUIREMENTS FOR PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE(PPL)

  • Educational Qualification - Xth class passed.
  • Age - 17 years.
  • Medical Std.- class II Medical Fitness.
  • The minimum 4O hours of flying training in the last five years preceding the date of application.
