| I welcome you to the family of Learner in Karntaka State Open University (KSOU), Which was established in the year 1996 for the promotion of Education among all sections of society, Without the constraints of space and time, Karntakta State Open University has established its quality and has reached the remote parts of Karnataka and beyond. As inscribed in its motto Higher Education to All Everywhere the University has set itself an objective to reach the doorsteps of aspiring learners in every nook and corner, of not only the state, but throughout the country and abroad. |
| The aviation industry is undoubtedly the most promising industry of the future. The concept of global village has predominantly emerged because of the easy accessibility across the globe offered by the travel industry, of which the aviation sector is the leader. This sector is booming with exponential growth rise to a huge gap between the supply and demand in the aviation sector as far as jobs is concerned. The World Travel and Tourism Council estimate that by the year 2010, India alone would have at least 1.15 million jobs in this sector. Pilots and cabin crew are not the only professionals that India's booming airline industry needs. There is also a growing need for talented professionals for managerial positions. The aerospace industry supports over 2 jobs across the five continents in areas that include business management, customer service, air cargo, freight and forwarding, software and hardware development, finance, marketing and sales, insurance, law and other areas. |
| Thus, aviation is an entire world above and beyond the cockpit. Today there are many options for a student of aviation . |
