| Support services through study centres: Study centres are being set up all over the country to provide the candidates a platform to interact with counselors, other candidates and for use of the library. Candidates would be getting personal attentions at these centres in addition to the hands-on-training at these centres. |

OJT/project work: To enable the candidate to gain an insight to independent working on a practical project |
| Credit System |
| The university follows the credit system for all its programmes. Each credit entails approximately 30 hours of study comprising all activities. Thus, a 3 - credit course involves 90 study hours. This helps the candidates to understand the academic efforts he/she has to put in suitable to complete the course. |
| Instructional system |
| The methodology of instruction in this Open University is different from that of the Conventional Universities. The Open University system is more learner - oriented, so much so, the candidate has to be invariably an active participant in the teaching - learning process.
