| Objective: MBA in Aviation is one of the most unique and exclusive courses in the world in the present scenerio. Although MBA has been one of the emerging disciplines of the past few decades, specialisation in aviation has emerged very recently. Aviation isnt just flying or piloting. Aviation is an entire world above and beyond the cockpit. Aviation is aircraft design, systems engineering. test piloting, search and rescue human factors, air traffic control, jet mechanics, electrical engineering, Computer systems, airport management, space exploration, customer service etc and much more. |
| However, one of the most crucial areas of operation in this fast growing industry wherein enormous mushrooming of airports is the order of the day, not just in India but across the world, the need for managers and industry leaders has emerged who have to make quick forecast and investment decisions involving millions of dollars apart from being the nexus behind airline operations that enwraps safety, security and service. |
| The airport is one of the most vital elements in our air transportation system. A well equipped airport provides a variety of facilities for the aircraft, the crew and the passengers. Thus it demands the need for airport managers and other professionals in the management cadre for safety and service. fixed base operations( FBO), airport transportation, catering, service and maintenance, baggage handling, cargo, transport scheduling, security, systems/software/ communications, sales and purchasing amongst many others. |
| Aviation Management students learn the nuances fo the above areas and the gamut of aviation operations from the management perspective apart from soft skills which are crucial in this industry. |
| Eligibility: A candidate seeking admission MBA programme should have passed a Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent professional degree programmes such as AMIE, AMAesI. AMIETE, etc. with minimum two (2) years of working experience in the aviation industry. However, fresh graduates seeking admission to this course need to undergo and complete six months of the aviation foundation course. |
| Course duration: The course duration for the MBA will be two (2) years comprising four (4) semesters but the candidate will have to complete the programme within four years from the session of enrollment. | |
